The Operation Homefront Employee of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding employee each year whose service demonstrates the organization’s four Core Values: Do What’s Right, Respect Others, Perform with Excellence, and Gratitude.

SAN ANTONIO (PRWEB) March 26, 2018

“I am thrilled to announce Kim Robinson for our highest annual honor, our Employee of the Year,” said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., president and CEO of Operation Homefront. “As always, choosing just one individual to recognize is an extraordinarily difficult task, but Kim can take great pride in knowing she has been selected to represent such an incredibly talented staff. On behalf of all who have had the opportunity to work with her, I want to thank her for her unwavering commitment to the Operation Homefront team and the military families we seek to serve.”

The Operation Homefront Employee of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding employee each year whose service demonstrates the organization’s four Core Values: Do What’s Right, Respect Others, Perform with Excellence, and Gratitude. Operation Homefront’s Core Values serve as fundamental principles that govern the organization’s behavior and guide its decision making.

Robinson has played an integral role in the successful creation of an in-house human resources department. She took over payroll – structuring the process and creating checklists and an auditing system. She managed open benefits enrollment for 2017 and 2018; streamlined the recruitment, new hire onboarding, and offboarding processes; and significantly improved communication and coordination efforts with leadership.

Operation Homefront serves military families across the country, with headquarters in San Antonio, Texas and Arlington, Virginia and employs a staff of 160 – along with more than 6,000 volunteers – at 23 locations.

About Operation Homefront: Founded in 2002, Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so that they can thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. Recognized for superior performance by leading independent charity oversight groups, 92 percent of Operation Homefront expenditures go directly to programs that support tens of thousands of military families each year. Operation Homefront provides critical financial assistance, transitional and permanent housing and family support services to prevent short-term needs from turning into chronic, long-term struggles. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the support from thousands of volunteers, Operation Homefront proudly serves America’s military families.
