Peak Nesting Season for Canadian Geese – What it Means for Businesses

With spring in full swing, geese are back and nesting, many choosing spots that are not ideal for people. Bird-X offers humane bird control products to safely deter geese from unwanted areas.

CHICAGO (PRWEB) May 04, 2018

It’s the time of year when territorial and sometimes aggressive geese are actively protecting and guarding their eggs or goslings. People with expansive acreage or lawns and businesses with outdoor décor, seating, and parking may find themselves faced with the daunting task of deterring these protective birds.

Instead of reaching for a BB-gun or harmful chemicals, many people are turning to Bird-X’s extensive line of goose control products, ranging from heavily-researched and recorded alpha geese alarm calls to safe, harmless laser devices that can cover a lot of land. According to the Internet Center for Wildlife Damage Management, a single goose can account for up to 1.5 pounds of droppings each day. These droppings contain a variety of pathogens that have the ability to infect humans as well as other animals.

Due to the severity of potential infection, commercial areas like golf courses and outdoor restaurant areas must be totally free of geese. This will also cut down on cleaning costs, repair work, and reduce risks related to toxic bird droppings.

Bird-X, Inc. has spent over 50 years protecting public areas from over 60 bird-spread transmissible diseases. The leading international brand of humane bird control solutions, this Chicago-based company manufactures a complete line of unique bird control products, protecting the health of humans, wildlife, and the environment by deterring birds from unwanted areas without harming them.
