Petro Guardian, a leader in lightning and static protection for oil and gas industry assets, is pleased to announce the hiring of Melissa Rehage as Business Development Manager. Within this role, Melissa will focus on expanding Petro Guardian’s business in Oklahoma and North Texas.

Melissa is skilled in implementing account development initiatives and cost controlled project execution. “We are sure Melissa will ensure maximum customer satisfaction while developing strategic business relationships and instituting effective lightning protection installation service sales in Oklahoma and North Texas,” said Harshul Gupta, VP of Technology & Marketing.

Melissa joins the Petro Guardian team after focusing on commercial, industrial and residential lightning protection with 4LP, LLC as a Business Development Manager, where she built her lightning protection expertise and oversaw the company’s Central Division. Prior to 4LP, LLC she also served as the Business Development Manager at an OEM of marine pedestal cranes. Melissa is a Louisiana State University alumna with 10 years of extensive experience as a paralegal in the oil/gas and maritime industry prior to launching herself in the business development profession.

Petro Guardian installs engineered systems to protect oil and gas production assets from damages caused by lightning strikes and static discharge. In addition, Petro Guardian works with operators to develop a standardized plan for preventing ignition from lightning strikes and static discharge. Each plan incorporates best recommendations for lightning protection and static mitigation, referencing relevant standards published by NFPA, IEEE, API, and IEC.
