PRC Clinical, a Silicon Valley-Based Clinical Trial Management Expert Contract Research Organization (CRO), Will Support the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) To Accelerate The Funding of Future Stem Cell Research Projects.

San Bruno, CA (PRWEB) September 24, 2015

PRC Clinical, an Expert Clinical Trial Management CRO, is officially supporting the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) to accelerate their funding to Stem Cell research projects. CIRM, California's Stem Cell Agency, funds stem cell research at institutions throughout California with the goal of accelerating stem cell treatments to patients with unmet medical needs. Nearly 300 programs are currently in CIRM's portfolio, aimed at curing chronic debilitating diseases such as ALS, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, Cancer, Alzheimer's disease and other serious conditions.

PRC Clinical is supporting a major initiative from California's Stem Cell Agency: CIRM 2.0 will cut the current funding process time and increase the quality of funding applications. ?We have introduced a new process that instead of taking 22 months now takes only 120 days? states Kevin McCormack, the Senior Director for Public Communications and Patient Advocate Outreach at CIRM. ?CIRM 2.0 is faster, simpler and, more importantly, it is more responsive to the needs of the company or researcher behind the project?.

PRC Clinical has developed a strong expertise in stem cell and regenerative research working with sponsors in the United States and Israel. ?We are proud to collaborate with CIRM to help facilitate and accelerate the funding for California-based stem cell research projects? states Curtis Head, CEO at PRC Clinical.

Earlier this year, PRC Clinical officially joined the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine (ARM). The ARM counts more than 200 pioneering organizations, fostering research, development, investment, and commercialization of transformational treatments and cures for patients worldwide. ARM members include Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson and Novartis. PRC Clinical will attend ARM?s 2015 Stem Cell Meeting on the Mesa on October 7-9 2015 in La Jolla, California. This annual meeting is co-organized by CIRM, the ARM, and the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine, and attracts more than 800 industry-leading professionals for partnering opportunities, interactive panels, and scientific lectures.
