MCLEAN, Va. (PRWEB) April 25, 2018

In honor of National Infertility Awareness Week, April 22-28, 2018, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association will ring the Nasdaq Stock Market Closing Bell on April 25 to call on Corporate America to play a key role in helping employees who need assistance building their families.

“Nasdaq is the perfect place to be during National Infertility Awareness Week to recognize enlightened employers who provide infertility benefits. We call on US businesses to expand or add infertility and adoption benefits for their employees,” said Barbara Collura, President / CEO, RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association. “It’s been a long-held perception that employer-provided benefits covering infertility and IVF is not only is the right thing to do, but a good business decision. We now have the data to back that up.”

A 2017 RESOLVE survey demonstrated how employer-provided health insurance covering infertility and IVF is beneficial to both employees and employers. Employees whose employer provides infertility benefits were nearly four times more likely to feel that their employer offers health insurance benefits that meet the needs of today’s families. They were also two and half times less likely to miss time from work due to psychological stress, depression, or other conditions related to their infertility.

“I was grateful for my employer recognizing infertility in our benefits program, as it got us started on building a family after our infertility diagnosis,” said Sara Raber, a New York resident invited by RESOLVE to attend the Closing Bell Ceremony.

RESOLVE is committed to increasing the number of people with access to benefits that cover infertility medical treatments, and specifically IVF. Visit RESOLVE’s “Coverage at Work” website for resources that help empower employees and employers to make decisions that lead to access to care for everyone.
