Experienced banking professional will generate new commercial relationships in the San Francisco Bay Area

River City Bank announces Doug Cook as the newest member of its Walnut Creek office as Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer. Cook brings more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry, including positions with First Republic Bank, Fremont Bank and Mechanics Bank. Immediately prior to joining River City Bank, Cook focused on developing client relationships and new business as a Senior Private Banker for Wells Fargo Private Bank in Walnut Creek. In his new role with River City Bank, Cook will be responsible for developing cash management and lending opportunities with real estate investors, high-net worth individuals, and mid-size businesses with borrowing needs ranging from $1 million to $25 million, or deposit relationships of $500,000 or more.

Cook will present new loan opportunities to River City Bank’s senior management, including the CEO, Chief Credit Officer and Bay Area Commercial Banking Director while also serving as the point person for both new clients and internal colleagues throughout the new business onboarding process. His core product and service offerings include Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans for both owner-occupied and investor clients, commercial and industrial (C&I) loans and lines of credit, deposit accounts, and cash management tools.

Cook earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was also a member of the men’s water polo team. He then went on to receive a Master of Business Administration degree from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
