San Diego, CA (PRWEB) September 29, 2015 ? Veteran actor Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy) talks about his riveting new Amazon series Hand of God with Jim Benson, host of the radio program TV Time Machine, in a special featured Podcast interview available on BlogTalkRadio http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ starting September 30th.
In this compelling interview, Ron Perlman reveals the fascinating story behind the making of this ten-episode drama available for Amazon Prime Members that touches upon spirituality and the supernatural. Mr. Perlman delves into the psyche of his character, Pernell Harris, a morally corrupt judge who, having experienced a recent trauma, suddenly believes that he?s hearing the voice of God.
"He?s a mover and a shaker, and he?s built his entire foundation on the notion of how to win,? says Perlman. "But when we meet him, he?s kind of lost and breaking apart. Because he has a son whose shot himself in the head and is on life-support. So in a desperate sense of trying to have some sort of say over the outcome, he finds God and subsequently starts to hear voices instructing him on what path to take to miraculously save his son.?
Despite having played some of the most memorable movie and TV characters in recent memory, the Emmy nominated and Golden Globe-winning actor considers this character to be the finest in his career.
"This character, because of the depth of his pain and suffering and confusion, I knew was going to challenge me in ways that I?ve never been challenged before,? says Perlman. "It kind of scared and intimidated me on a number of levels. And that?s what intrigued me? to see if I had what it would take to rise to this occasion. It made for the most engaging and challenging experience I?ve ever had as an actor.?
Over a thirty-year career, Ron Perlman has played a multitude of remarkable characters in such films as Quest For Fire, Blade II, Hellboy, and Hellboy II (the latter three with director Guillermo del Toro). On the television side, the imposing actor is best known for starring in Beauty and the Beast with Linda Hamilton, and playing Clay Morrow for five seasons on the acclaimed FX TV series, Sons of Anarchy, created and produced by Kurt Sutter.
