The event in Denver, Colorado will explore the evolving tech sector serving SMB digital marketing needs.

Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) September 30, 2015

TalkLocal?s co-founder Manpreet Singh will join dozens of featured speakers and panelists at the BIA/Kelsey SMB conference now happening in Denver, Colorado. The two day conference covers the evolution of a tech industry focused on helping small businesses market to the local consumer. Today?s session scheduled at 3 p.m., entitled ?The Future of Search? is moderated by BIA/Kelsey?s Mike Boland and Abid Chaudhry.

According to Manpreet, the future isn?t necessarily about technology that feels like a revolutionary break from the past.

Quoting Amazon?s Jeff Bezos? famous line, ?What?s not going to change in the next 10 years is a more important question; one you can build a business strategy around." Manpreet argues that in order to increase SMB user adoption and reduce churn rates, the unchanging priorities of the small business owner has to stay at the center of the discussion.

Manpreet says, ?Businesses may never measure their success in bytes of data, social media interactions, view, or followers; they continue to note where their phone calls come from, and which ones tend to book and drive the most profit. Meanwhile, if poor user experiences hurt their results, they won?t kick themselves for failing to adjust to a disruption, they?ll kick the tech off their payroll and stick to what works.?

As president of TalkLocal, a phone call matching service that connects consumers to the right local pros in about 90 seconds, Manpreet works with some of the most change-averse businesses in the local sector; entrepreneurs who still largely rely on word of mouth and inbound calls.

?We consider ourselves a gateway drug to digital marketing, a path to the future with strong ties? telephone lines to the past,? says Manpreet.

The local services marketplace uses a pay-per-conversation business model. When a consumer submits a service request online, the matching business gets an automated phone call with free lead preview and the option to connect with the customer live for a small flat rate. The phone-based user interface has allowed the service to reach businesses across the country; most of which had never heard of the service prior to that first lead.

TalkLocal has raised $4m to date, has served customers in 49 states, and recently marked its one millionth service request call. It offers 50 service categories including roofing, accountants and heating and cooling.
