The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA) today announced its US and international multi-city auditions tour schedule. With events scheduled across the country and abroad, NYCDA’s audition process offers prospective students opportunities to audition in-person and participate in a workshop environment to best understand the school’s methodology.

The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA) today announced its US and international multi-city auditions tour schedule. With events scheduled across the country and abroad, NYCDA’s audition process offers prospective students opportunities to audition in-person and participate in a workshop environment to best understand the school’s methodology.

“We have designed The New York Conservatory’s audition process to be an interactive engagement where students can gain valuable insight into their craft,” said Richard Omar, president and artistic director at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. “Many of our current students have remarked how the in-person audition process was a remarkable experience that enabled them to confidently decide how to pursue their acting dreams. We look forward to meeting new prospective students during this year’s tour.”

NYCDA’s schedule of acting auditions for its Film & Television Performance and Musical Theater AOS degree programs are as follows:

During NYCDA’s audition process, the school’s experienced instructors will evaluate prospective students’ performances and learn more about each student’s academic goals and personal interests. NYCDA also accept auditions via Skype or Facetime, and video. To submit a video, prospective students can email the video to NYCDA at auditionvideos(at)nycda(dot)edu, or upload to YouTube and send the link.

NYCDA is also accepting students for its recently announced Musical Theater program. The new curriculum will build the skills necessary for musical theater performers, and the business knowledge required of working professionals. Rigorous courses in acting, voice, dance, and theater business will be taught, to give students the complete education they need to compete for work in the industry.
