UCSF Alliance Health Project presents Art for AIDS
UCSF AHP celebrates 19 years of supporting people with HIV/AIDS with annual fundraiser auction on Friday, October 9

UCSF Alliance Health Project (AHP) is honored to present the 19th annual Art for AIDS fundraiser auction on Friday, October 9, 2015, at 6:00PM at City View, located at 135 Fourth Street, San Francisco, CA.
This year?s live auction will be dedicated to the life and art of Rex Ray (1956-2015) and will include a live auction offering of one of Rex?s gorgeous limited edition prints.
More than 700 supports, art patrons and community philanthropists are expected to converge at City View to attend the 2015 Art for AIDS event, with proceeds supporting the programs at the UCSF Alliance Health Project.
Unifying artists, galleries, designers and collectors, Art for AIDS is San Francisco?s premier art auction, bringing the Bay Area art community together to support mental health and wellness services for LGBTQ and HIV-affected San Francisco residents.
Art for AIDS began 19 years ago when local artists sold their art to help raise money for friends living with HIV/AIDS. Over the years Art for AIDS has grown, attracting renowned artists such as Hung Liu, Jock Sturges, Brian Blood, Matthew Frederick, Fernando Reyes, Lucky Rapp, Jylian Gustlin, and many others, along with works from prominent Bay Area galleries and collectors.
179 gallery quality works of art including paintings, photography, mixed media, and sculpture, will be presented in the silent and live auctions. Guests will enjoy gourmet food and wine from Bay Area restaurants and wineries that include Bisou, E & O, Garibaldi?s, Melon?s Catering, Precita Park Café, and Miner Family Winery.
Art for AIDS is the Alliance Health Project?s annual fundraiser. Since 1984, AHP has provided mental health services to the LGBTQ and HIV affected community, including HIV counseling and testing, psychiatry and psychotherapy, substance use counseling and case management, and crisis intervention. AHP also conducts research and provider education and training throughout the nation.
The live auction on October 9, 2015, will feature works by Brian Blood, Hung Liu, Jylian Gustlin, Robin Denevan, Rex Ray, Kristine Mays, Wes Hempel, Luck Rapp, Jock Sturges and others. The certificate auction features coveted offerings like luxury getaways, celebrated restaurants, Napa winery tours, and spa treatments.
Art for AIDS benefits UCSF?s Alliance Health Project (AHP), a program that has served the community for 31 years with free HIV testing, education, counseling, and mental health
