One-of-a-kind event in San Francisco on November 19-20 brings together 500+ tech entrepreneurs and industry innovators to share best practices and collaborate on new models in care

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) October 29, 2015

Aging2.0, the global innovation platform for aging and senior care, today announced the latest lineup of speakers and participants for its 2015 AgeTech Expo. The two-day conference and technology exposition takes place November 19-20, 2015 in San Francisco and features inspiring keynotes, practical education panels, technology exhibits, tours of Silicon Valley corporate campuses, and the live Pitch-for-Pilots (P4P) session where startups pitch to senior care executives for pilots.

“Quality, customer service and transparency are increasingly important in today’s senior care sector and technology can help providers deliver in all three areas,” said Stephen Johnston, co-founder of Aging2.0. “The AgeTech Expo creates a unique forum for innovators inside and outside senior care to come together and forge the personal connections that are so important in this industry.”

This is the sixth AgeTech Expo event, but the first held as part of Aging2.0, as a result of the combining of AgeTech West and Aging2.0 in January 2015. It will be the largest Aging2.0 event to date. “Aging2.0 provides a global innovation platform benefiting small and large, nonprofit and for-profit providers alike,” said Scott Peifer, Aging2.0’s VP of Alliance Development and former Executive Director of AgeTech West. “For example, the Global Startup Spotlight and Pitch-for-Pilots sessions will highlight the most promising startups from Aging2.0’s #30in30in30 initiative -- 30 pitch events in 30 cities in 30 days -- which are intended to inspire providers in this country and spark much-needed conversations about how we can integrate new technologies into everyday care delivery.”

Aging2.0 AgeTech Expo attendees will experience all that Silicon Valley has to offer. Here are just a few of the ‘events within the event’:

  • Keynote speeches from Cynthia Breazeal, founder of the world’s first family robot, Jibo; Michael Weiner, the Chief Medical Information Officer at IBM; Kenneth Shinozuka, the teenage founder of Safe Wander, a wander-prevention solution; and Lanning Tian, Vice Secretary General of China Association of Social Welfare.
  • SF Bay Dinner Cruise with guest speaker Jeremy Bloom, premier athlete and founder of the inspirational program, Wish of a Lifetime, which fulfills long held dreams for the oldest generation.
  • Innovation Tours of corporate campuses including Google SF, Yahoo, Lyft, One Medical Group, Frog, Amazon, and many others.
