May 30 & 31 Webinar Discusses Cognition’s Approach to Validating Product Development Software

LEXINGTON, Mass. (PRWEB) May 14, 2018

Cognition Corporation, a software company specializing in medical device compliance and commercialization, has just announced a new webinar focusing on validating product development software used in life science organizations.

The 30-minute webinar, held May 30 and May 31, titled “A Robust, Comprehensive Approach to Validating Product Development Software,” will evaluate common pitfalls validating online environments used by life science organizations in product development and Cognition’s approach for addressing them.

“Validating software you’re using to develop your medical device, pharmaceutical, combination or other life science product often becomes an overlooked part of the regulatory compliance process,” says Cognition CEO David Cronin, who will be hosting the upcoming webinar. “We’ve seen this concern play out with many organizations, and it can be costly.”

Many organizations leave validating their software tools until later on in product development, causing unnecessary headaches. Furthermore, a lot of validation work is outsourced to third-parties, which adds up in cost and learning curves.

“We’ve always worked towards solutions that will help overcome these sorts of hurdles,” says Mr. Cronin. “We hope we can show those who are struggling with the costs and headaches of validation that there are alternatives to the status quo out there, and that there are people actually hearing their frustrations.”

During the webinar, Mr. Cronin will take attendees through approaching validation with a risk-based approach, defining what functional requirements for validation looks like and how they get connected to tests and test protocols, and managing the extra challenges that come with a configured product development environment. Mr. Cronin will then show how Cognition has sought to address these with a guided, templated approach to validation.

There will be two separate sessions of the webinar. For those interested in signing up for the May 30 webinar, click here. For the May 31 session, click here.
