New Delhi, India (PRWEB) September 30, 2015

VideoPropulsion® Interactive Television, Inc. (OTC:VPTV) announces the start of demonstrations and trials of its low-cost headend solutions for key customers in the satellite and CATV markets in India this month.

Working in collaboration with Multivirt India Pvt Ltd based in New Dehli, the Multivirt integrated appliances are capable of selectively receiving DVB-S2 satellite programming, descrambling, optionally transcoding from H.264 to MPEG2, re-scrambling, then re- modulating the MPEG digital television programs over QAM.

The appliances use VideoPropulsion?s preeminent, high-density MPEG Transcoder and DVB-C QAM modulator (ITU-T J.83 Annex A) PCIe cards. The resultant multiplex of services is transmitted over a hybrid fiber-coax or simple coax network.

VideoPropulsion and Multivirt expect the trials to result in a significant amount of new business for both companies beginning before the end 2015, and throughout the next 5 years.

?After several months of work optimizing performance, increasing density, and cost-engineering our DTV headend solutions for the unique requirements of the CATV markets in India, we are delighted to begin demonstrations and trials for key customers?, said Carl Pick, CEO at VideoPropulsion. "We are optimistic that our DTV solutions represent the best choice for delivering secure digital video cost effectively as India approaches the final phases of the digitization of television services in India?.
