West Monroe Partners Dedicates Its Nearly 1,000 Employees to Volunteer in National Day of Change
The initiative will benefit dozens of non-profits in 11 cities
CHICAGO (PRWEB) May 29, 2018
West Monroe Partners, a national business and technology consultancy, announced it is setting aside consulting work for a day to allow all its employees to participate in a “National Day of Change” on Friday, June 1, 2018. The volunteer initiative organized across 11 cities puts the firm’s nearly 1,000 people in their local communities volunteering in one united effort.
While this is the third consecutive year for West Monroe’s National Day of Change, it is the first year the firm is dedicating a workday to include all employees in the effort. In 2017, West Monroe led its second Annual Day of Change when 168 employees across nine cities came together to support local organizations. The National Day of Change is part of the firm’s commitment to giving back in the communities where its people live and work.
As a firm, West Monroe is strongly committed to corporate social responsibility, being recognized as one of the country's best workplaces for giving back. The National Day of Change is a part of the firm’s 1+1+1 initiative, a program designed to donate 1 percent of its time, 1 percent of its talent, and 1 percent of its treasure (profits) to the greater good.
“We are incredibly excited to be volunteering as an entire company on the same day, as this will make a significant impact in the communities where we live and work,” said Chief People Officer Susan Stelter. “We know how important social responsibility is to our employee-owners at West Monroe, including our leadership team, and this day is an opportunity to exhibit the level of change we can make when we work together.”
Organizing West Monroe’s National Day of Change has been a group effort led by “Charity Chiefs” Alex Persha and Hattie Winter, who chair the firm’s charity committee and help oversee the firm’s charitable contributions. In a grassroots approach, employees were encouraged to nominate charities and events to be a part of the National Day of Change.
“What’s great about this day is the camaraderie we build as a West Monroe family when doing our most important work—giving back,” said Alex Persha, a manager in the Operations Excellence practice. Adds Hattie Winter, a senior consultant in the Customer Experience practice, “It will be amazing to work with so many non-profit organizations in one day. We’ve been gearing up for this for months.”
In just 16 years, West Monroe has grown from a startup to a firm of nearly 1,000 employees with 10 offices across the United States. The 100-percent employee-owned firm includes a rapidly growing team of business consultants and deep technologists who serve clients in dynamic industries, including healthcare and life sciences, financial services, utilities, and consumer and industrial products.
