Workshop will help LI export firms navigate global privacy laws

The U.S. Department of Commerce will host a workshop on global privacy laws at NYIT's de Seversky Mansion.
How Long Island exporters may be impacted by new data protection regulations and privacy laws in Europe and Canada is the topic of a Nov. 15 workshop organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The event, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., will feature a keynote address by Mark Viola, chief information security officer at Henry Schein Inc., the Island’s largest public company. A panel discussion with experts will follow.
The event will be held at New York Institute of Technology's de Seversky Mansion, 1 Northern Blvd., Old Westbury. Tickets are $25 per person and include breakfast.
