Uniondale-based Professional Physical Therapy, a provider of physical therapy and rehabilitation services, has acquired a New Jersey chain of physical therapy centers.
Professional Physical Therapy purchased six physical therapy centers from the Princeton Physical Therapy Group. The centers are in Caldwell, Clifton, Montclair, and Sicklerville, with two in Nutley, New Jersey. The company didn’t disclose the acquisition price.
“The expertise, community focus, and operational strengths of the team at Princeton align exceptionally well with our stated goal of continued growth and development,” Jeffrey De Bellis, partner and vice president of clinical operations at Professional Physical Therapy in New Jersey, said in a statement.
Founded in 1998, Professional Physical Therapy now operates 83 physical therapy centers throughout the tri-state area, including 12 located within Equinox Fitness Centers, five located in Blink Fitness facilities, one located in a STACK Sports Performance Center, and 65 stand-alone locations.
“I am excited for Professional’s future growth opportunities,” said Adam Elberg, chief executive and president of Professional Physical Therapy. “It is no secret that the world of health care is consolidating. In the physical and occupational therapy arena, we strive to be the consolidator that yields the greatest benefits to our customers.”
The company has annual revenues of more than $50 million and more than 1,000 employees.
