High school juniors on Long Island who are interested in exploring a career in accounting can still apply for a five-day summer program, sponsored by the Foundation for Accounting Education of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, in partnership with Hofstra University.
But, you better be quick – there are only about eight slots left. Click here to find an application at nysscpa.org/futurecpas/hofstra10.pdf
The goal of the program, which is free of charge, is to expose promising minority students to the profession, according to a media release.
Sessions run from June 26 to 30 at Hofstra, covering subjects such as finance, ethics, business technology, as well as resume writing and networking sills. Learn more.
