Rhone athleticwear is the latest pop-up shop to come to Tanger Outlets Deer Park, joining other higher-end retail stores there.
Rhone will open its first Long Island location at the Deer Park outlet on Aug. 22.
“This addition brings another high-quality, performance-driven offering to the community and reinforces our commitment to delivering a dynamic mix of best-in-class retailers,” said Amaka Muir, marketing director at Tanger Deer Park, in a news release.
The store will occupy 3,216 square feet next to Columbia and stay open through February, Tanger said in the release. Rhone is the latest high-end brand to hit Tanger Deer Park, joining stores like Columbia, Under Armour, Birkenstock, Marc Jacobs, Clarks and Pandora.
The Connecticut-based company, founded in 2014 by brothers Nate and Ben Checkett, sells clothing made with custom fabrics designed to deliver comfort and flexibility, according to the company. Rhone started as an online-only retailer, but has since opened 26 brick-and-mortar stores.
Another pop-up, off-price retailer Loehmann’s, will open Aug. 22 at Tanger Deer Park.
Muir told Newsday in April the outlet was aiming for more high-end customers.
"We’re expanding our selection of top brands," Muir said at the time. "We’re just looking at our clientele and looking at the tenant mix and trying to elevate it a little more."
Rhone was named the official on-course apparel partner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association in 2024 and partnered with the NBA in 2024 for a multiyear marketing campaign, according to its website.
