Rich Tomko, who has more than 18 years of digital publishing experience, joins amNewYork from Boost Digital, where he was a consultant to media companies. He formerly served as CEO of Snooth Media, the largest online wine site.

Rich Tomko has been named publisher of amNewYork. He will oversee day-to-day operations for the paper and its digital products.

"We will continue to create compelling content and engaging products in print and on mobile platforms," he said.

Tomko, who has more than 18 years of digital publishing experience, joins amNewYork from Boost Digital, where he was a consultant to media companies. He formerly served as CEO of Snooth Media, the largest online wine site.

Newsday Media Group publisher Gordon McLeod Monday called Tomko "a savvy media executive who excelled in bringing many great offline news and information brands like CNN and Time Inc. to Web and mobile." Newsday and amNewYork are part of Newsday Media Group, which is owned by Cablevision Systems Corp. of Bethpage.
