Roosevelt Field has announced the latest batch of stores, including German-based MCM leather goods, that plan to open locations at the Garden City mall as part of its $200 million expansion and renovation.
The retailers, several of which are opening their first Long Island outposts, will be on the upper level near a 1,200-seat food court that opened in January, mall owner Simon Property Group said Thursday.
Roosevelt Field, which opened in 1956, has been undergoing an extensive face-lift, adding dozens of stores in a new wing and Long Island's first Neiman Marcus, which is expected to open in February.
MCM, short for Modern Creation München, will open an 1,800-square-foot store next month, marking its first Long Island location. The retailer specializes in leather bags, accessories, belts and shoes.
Dune London, a London-based shoe store, is also making its Long Island debut next month, opening a 1,929-square-foot space.
Other stores that have signed leases include Alex & Ani, jewelry and accessories; The Hat Club, casual headwear; T-Mobile; Verizon Wireless; Le Grand Optical; Footaction, athletic wear; Victoria's Secret teen-centric spinoff PINK; Clarks, shoes; Michael Hill, jewelry; and Marco's Authentic Italian Gelato.
