Sabre Real Estate Group buys NJ competitor

Sabre Real Estate Group LLC, a Garden City-based brokerage specializing in commercial retail space, has acquired competitor Anderson Realty Services LLC of Bayonne, New Jersey, for an undisclosed amount, according to a news release.

Sabre, which employees 30 brokers in the metro area, bought the competing commercial retail brokerage firm in late June, nearly a year after the company opened its first office in Jersey City.

"We're extremely excited about this acquisition," Jayson Siano, managing principal of Sabre, said in a statement. Sabre has been "working hard to expand our New Jersey business based on its similarities to Long Island," he said.

The acquisition will allow Sabre to expand its Jersey business and use Anderson Realty's connections to landlords and developers in the area. As part of the deal, Sabre adds Anderson Realty's four commercial retail brokers to the company's Jersey team, bringing its count to eight employees.

Sabre also has offices in Brooklyn and will continue operations at Anderson Realty's Tampa office.
