Nassau County homeowners recovering from superstorm Sandy can seek help in Freeport on Tuesday.

The Sandy Recovery Through Education event will take place at Freeport High School, 50 S. Brookside Ave., from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Presentations on dealing with contractor disputes and closing out Sandy recovery projects will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session.

Representatives from the Nassau County Office of Consumer Affairs, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office and the Nassau County Bar Association will be available, and Catholic Charities will offer referrals for free mental health services.
