Women in manufacturing is the subject of a half-day event on Friday at the Brentwood campus of Suffolk County Community College.

The event, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, is free and will be held at the college’s Health, Sports and Education Center, 1001 Crooked Hill Rd.

The event coincides with National Manufacturing Day. Activities include a trade show and panel discussion featuring female employees of drugmaker Novartis, Peconic Cellar Door and Brookhaven National Laboratory.

The event has been organized by the college, Workforce Development Institute and the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County. To register go to bit.ly/2k825NE.
