National burger chain Shake Shack is set to open its newest Long Island location, in Holbrook, next week, the Manhattan-based company announced Tuesday.

Shake Shack, known for its ShackBurgers, crinkle-cut fries and milkshakes, will open its seventh Long Island location, at The Shops at SunVet, on April 15 at 10:30 a.m., the company said.

The chain currently has sites in Lake Grove, Melville, New Hyde Park, Oceanside, Selden and Garden City, according to its website.

Nicknamed the Sun Vet Shack, the new eatery will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., the company said.

As part of the opening, the first customers will receive custom Shake Shack tote bags while supplies last. The Holbrook restaurant will be the company’s 68th in New York State.

Corporate leadership at Shake Shack recently announced plans to increase their total number of locations to more than 1,500 backed by a new technology and data initiative, new kitchen systems and the launch of new customer loyalty program later this year.

“Shake Shack is entering a significant phase of growth and building the right foundation to support that scale is a top priority,” Rob Lynch, CEO of Shake Shack said in a company release earlier this month

The New York City-based business has been riding a wave of growth in recent years, industry analysts said.

"Shake Shack continues to grow in units and sales in the U.S. and is outpacing the fast-casual segment overall," Donna Hood Crecca, senior principal at Technomic, a Chicago-based restaurant industry analysis firm, said in an email to Newsday.

"Extending its trend of robust unit growth, Shake Shack increased store count 12.6% in 2025 to reach 420 locations," Crecca said. The company had 71 restaurants as of 2016, according to Technomic data.

Total sales for Shake Shack reached $1.45 billion in 2025, according to the company's financials. The company's 15.2% sales growth last year outpaces the 5.3% overall growth rate for fast-casual businesses," Crecca said.

Technomic projects "strong performance," in coming years, and said the brand "leans in on quality, with Angus beef burgers and grilled potato buns, its signature ShackSauce and trending specials like the Korean menu items," Crecca  said.

"What’s more, Shake Shack excels operationally and often earns high scores with consumers on order accuracy and cleanliness, which drives repeat visits," she added.
