The Long Island Association is holding its Small Business Council Executive Breakfast  on Monday morning at 8:30 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

On the schedule is U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer as keynote speaker. He'll be talking about "Fighting for Long Island's Fair Share from Washington."

The organization will also be giving out its 2010 Small Business Council Awards. The recipients are:

Education Advocate: Dr. Samuel Stanley, president, Stony Brook University
Small Business Advocate: Seymour Liebman, shown above, executive vice president, CAO & general counsel, Canon, U.S.A.
Financial Services Advocate: Patrick J. MacKrell, president & CEO, New York Business Development Corp.
Media Advocate: Lea Tyrrell, anchor & reporter, News 12 Long Island
Minority Advocate: Paramjit Singh, owner, Elle Belle, LLC
Women-Owned Business Advocate: Lillian Dent, owner, LL Dent Restaurant

Registration starts at 8 and the program will run until about 9:30.  The Crest Hollow Country Club is at 8325 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury.
