Small business owners who want to get information on financing a new or existing small business can meet lenders Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at a “matchmaker” event hosted by the Long Island branch office of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

“Matchmaking events have become popular across the country since they go beyond traditional networking, allowing lenders and entrepreneurs to have face to face meetings in a relaxed atmosphere,” New York District Director Pravina Raghavan said in written statement issued by the SBA.   “The intended result of this event will be for the lenders to establish relationships with small business clients and help assist them with their financial needs.”

The 20 lenders registered for this event are: Capital One, Wells Fargo, NewBank, M&T Bank, Bank of America, Flushing Bank, Suffolk County National Bank, Habib American Bank, TD Bank, Banco Popular, Citibank, Chase, CIT Small Business Lending, Mainstreet Lender, Grow America, NYBDC/ESCDC, Melrose Credit Union,TFCU, Suffolk Federal Credit Union and CDC LI.

The free event takes place at the Melville Marriott Long Island,  1350 Old Walt Whitman Road.  To register, call 631-454-0750. This event is also supported by Habib American Bank.
