New York State is offering two workshops Thursday for small businesses about working with state agencies.

The morning session, starting at 8:30, is in Western Suffolk BOCES' conference center in Wheatley Heights. The evening session, starting at 6, is in Hofstra University's Mack Student Center in Hempstead.

Representatives from the departments of State, Labor and Taxation, the Liquor Authority, Workers' Compensation Board and Empire State Development Corp., will make presentations about how they can help entrepreneurs to grow their companies.

RSVPs should be sent to smallbusinessRSVP-Suffolk@exec.ny.gov.

The workshops are part of a statewide initiative launched by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.
