Hilary Topper

As social media becomes more and more pervasive, Long Island is getting another networking resource to help people get up to speed and then some.

Hilary Topper, president of HJMT, a public relations and social media agency, is hosting a kick-off meeting of the Long Island chapter of the Social Media Club, an international non-profit.

The idea, she says, is to get people together to learn from one another. All are welcome, she says – people in public relations, marketing, social media, small businesses. Plan to talk (and learn) about social media sites, geo-location, and generally what’s new.

The no-fee kick-off meeting is planned for the morning of Sept. 28 at the HJMT office in Westbury. Learn more, RSVP here.

And here is a video invitation.
