A 40-minute speed networking event for Long Island business owners will precede the announcement Monday night of the volunteer boxer lineup for the 2013 Long Island Fight for Charity.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the Long Island Hilton in Melville. The first 100 individuals to arrive at the event will be able to participate in the networking session.

Admission is free of charge and registration is recommended. Those interested can visit www.lifightforcharity.org for more information.

Following the networking, the organizing committee for LI Fight for Charity will announce the lineup of six volunteer boxers, selected from the local business community, who will fight in next year's matchup scheduled for Nov. 25, 2013.

LI Fight for Charity began in 2003 to raise money for local charities. Next year will be the organization's 10th event.
