State officials will be in three Suffolk County communities this week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, to assist homeowners and business people harmed by superstorm Sandy. The Cuomo administration recently won approval for its plan to use federal Community Block Grants to aid Sandy victims. Those seeking assistance must apply to the state.
Representatives of the Department of Financial Services will be in a Mobile Command Center outside the Southampton Public Library at 91 Coopers Farm Rd. on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, they will be at Southold Town Hall on Route 25. And on Thursday and Friday, they will be at the Bellport Shopping Center, 10 Farber Dr.
Aid applications are also being accepted at nysandyhelp.ny.gov.
