State officials will be in three Nassau County communities in coming days to assist homeowners and business people harmed by superstorm Sandy.

The Cuomo administration recently won approval for its plan to use federal Community Block Grants to aid Sandy victims. Those seeking assistance must apply to the state.

Representatives of the Department of Financial Services will be in an RV Mobile Command Center outside the Freeport Recreation Center, 130 East Merrick Rd., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Saturday, they will be in Merrick at Cedar Creek Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. And on Monday, they will be in Massapequa in the parking lot of the Toys R Us store, 5520 Sunrise Hwy,. from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aid applications are also being accepted at nysandyhelp.ny.gov.
