Farmingdale-based Sustainable Long Island, an environmental and economic development group, says Steve Bellone, the Suffolk executive, will be the keynote speaker at its Sustainability Conference on June 1.

Bellone will speak at the group's meeting  at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage State Park, the not-for-profit said in a Monday announcement.

The group is seeking businesses and organizations for sponsorship, advertising, exhibition and food service opportunities.

The organization also said it will honor Long Island Association president Kevin Law and Hofstra University president Stuart Rabinowitz, co-chairmen of the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council. The two will receive Sustainable Long Island's Getting It Done awards, for their part in getting more than $100 million in state funding for Long Island projects.

Other award recipients include Southampton Town Councilwoman Bridget Fleming and Farmingdale Mayor George Starkie.

Registrations are accepted at sustainableli.org, by email at info@sustainableli.org or by phone at 516-873-0230.
