Stony Brook banker appointed to Suffolk jobs panel
Elizabeth Custodio, a banker from Stony Book, resigned Thursday from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency board in order to join a jobs panel created by County Executive Steve Bellone.
Custodio, 58, has served on the IDA’s board of directors since June 2008. She works for Astoria Federal Savings as its assistant Community Reinvestment Act officer.
Bellone Thursday named Custodio to his county Economic Development Committee, which aims to promote job-creation policies. She will serve as vice chairman.
There is no compensation for serving on the committee or the seven-member IDA board. The Suffolk County Legislature appoints the IDA board.
