Struggling homeowners can seek help at Nassau County event
Nassau County homeowners struggling to pay their housing bills can seek help at a mortgage modification fair on Sept. 24.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cradle of Aviation Museum and Education Center on Charles Lindbergh Boulevard in Garden City.
Homeowners can meet with representatives from lenders including Bank of America, Bayview Loan Servicing, Caliber Home Loans, Citibank, JPMorgan Chase, NationStar, Ocwen and Wells Fargo.
Housing and legal groups such as Community Development Corp. of Long Island, the Long Island Housing Partnership and the Nassau County Bar Association also will offer assistance.
The event is presented by Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-Garden City) and the Nassau County Legislature.
