Homeowners recovering from superstorm Sandy can get advice about flood insurance, home repair and other topics in Massapequa Park on Tuesday.

A forum will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Massapequa Park Library, 40 Harbor Lane.

The following topics will be discussed in 10-minute segments: mental health and stress reduction; legal rights during storm recovery; filing appeals on flood insurance awards; buying flood insurance; challenging real estate taxes; contractor fraud; home elevation and accessibility; budget management; financing options and loan programs.

The event is sponsored by Nassau County Legis. James Kennedy (R-Massapequa).
