Survival advice for nonprofits
The Citi Foundation will host a free event for not-for-profit groups Thursday in Melville, aimed at helping them survive the current sluggish economy.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the RXR Executive Park, 68 South Service Rd., lower level, in Melville.
Subjects to be explored will include:
*Ensuring your board and staff are managing effectively for economic change
*Gaining practical tools to help your organization address its fundraising, financial management and community development challenges
*Fundraising forecasting in a shifting environment
*Financial communication and transparency during difficult times
Keynote speaker will be economist Pearl Kamer, above left.
