Three Long Island women business owners will share their secrets of how they built successful careers while prioritizing work-life balance at a Hofstra University forum Thursday in Hempstead.

They are Susan Axelrod, founder and chairwoman of Love & Quiches Gourmet, a Freeport dessert and quiche company; Esther Fortunoff, founder of fortunoffjewelry.com and Fortunoff Fine Jewelry in Westbury; and Betty Heiman of Plainview-based Transparent Health Group, a health-care access plan.

The forum will take place Thursday at Hofstra's University Club on the north campus from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The free event is open to the public, but advance registration is required. Go to bit.ly/LIpanel to register.
