Sustainable LI announces conference speakers

At an event titled "The Rally for Resources," keynote speakers at the fifth annual Sustainability Conference will include U.S. Rep. Steve Israel (D-Dix Hills) and New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.
The event is sponsored by Sustainable Long Island.
Also speaking at the March 4 event will be Woody Tasch, president of Slow Money, a nonprofit dedicated to building networks and products to invest in small, local businesses.
The event will also include a Nassau County bus tour, a networking lunch provided by numerous top Long Island restaurants, and interactive sessions on several topics, including:
Brownfields redevelopment
Food project financing
Open space preservation
Infrastructure implementation
The event is from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Carlyle on the Green, in Bethpage State Park.
