An expansive new entertainment venue will open its first New York location at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park in early 2026.

Main Event will take over a 46,189-square-foot storefront next to Saks Off 5th and Regal Cinemas, offering experiences that include bowling, laser tag, arcade, billiards and gravity-rope courses, along with food and drink options.

"Main Event will provide guests a dynamic new place to play, dine and connect, strengthening Tanger Deer Park’s appeal as a go-to destination for both shopping and entertainment," said Lisa Samperisi, marketing manager at Tanger Deer Park, in a news release.

The chain belongs to Dave & Buster's Entertainment Inc., the same company that owns the Dave & Buster's arcade and restaurant chain, which has locations in Islandia and Westbury.

The company suffered a net loss of $42.1 million in the third quarter of this year and a 1.1% drop in revenue, compared with the same period last year, but has continued opening new Dave & Buster's and Main Event locations around the country throughout 2025, according to an earnings report.

The Nike store at Deer Park also will relocate into a larger storefront near Polo Ralph Lauren, Ugg and Karl Lagerfeld. A news release touts "an elevated, digitally enhanced shopping experience."

The changes are part of a larger shake-up at the 739,000-square-foot shopping center, which in the past month has opened a Canada Weather Gear and Toys R Us, according to Tanger Deer Park management.

Other brands that have joined the more than 100 stores at the outlets this year include Birkenstock, Marc Jacobs and Pandora, according to management.

At 4.4%, the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park has a higher retail space availability rate than the outlets in Bellport and Riverhead, which have 2.2% and 0.3% availability rates, respectively, according to data from CoStar Group, a commercial real estate data and analytics company.

All are lower than the 5% rate for the overall retail market on Long Island, "indicating that they are performing strongly," said Jared Koeck, associate director of market analytics at CoStar Group.

There is just one space available at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, he added, a more than 30,000-square-foot space vacated by New York Sports Club.
