This app is for foodies who aren't content with just reading restaurant reviews. It gives them a sneak peek at the dishes.

Foodspotting uses photos of plates of food served to customers to help users discover amazing dishes from establishments of all sizes and locales.

There are many ways to use this app: Don't miss the "Guides" section if you want good meals when you're traveling. You can browse well-known guides such as "Zagat's Most Popular SF Restaurants" and "No Reservations: 100 Food Spots Visited by Anthony Bourdain." When you're out of town, use the mobile app. From home, sift through photos at Foodspotting.com before calling in a reservation or phoning a friend to join you.

The app and website solicit only positive reviews from users ("we want to know what you love, not what you hate"). That may not be a bad thing if your purpose is to find food people love. And it's even better now that it has been populated with more great food.
