AT&T offers free texts, calls to Japan

After the massive earthquake, AT&T is offering some relief for U.S customers trying to communicate with loved ones in Japan. AT&T postpaid wireless customers will not be charged for international long distance or text messages to Japan from the United States and Puerto Rico between March 11 and March 31. Also, residential wireline customers can seek credits for up to 60 minutes of direct dialing to Japan.
AT&T will also offer the opportunity to give a $10 donation to the Red Cross by texting "redcross" to 90999 with no text message fees.
