Avast releases free decryptors to fight ransomware

Online shoppers are out in force this holiday season, and so are hackers.

There has been a steep rise in ransomware, where hackers encrypt your files, usually via links you click on a website or in an email message.

If you fall prey to ransomware, software maker Avast has just released four free decryptors (nwsdy.li/avast) that might help you get your files back without paying a ransom.
