Whether it is a phone, desktop, laptop, iPod, or a gaming console, we all have old unused gadgets and electronics. While these closet/basement/attic stuffers may be relics to us, they still hold value to others.
Some take to Craigslist, Amazon, or eBay to try to get top value for their outdated tech, but most of us don't have the time, energy, or effort needed to sell the old tech ourselves. That’s why dozens of websites have sprung up offering hassle-free buy-backs of unwanted tech stuff.
The sites take users through a quick appraisal process that asks about the conditionof the item being sold. Does it work? Does it have a cracked screen? Do you have the orginal packaging materials?
The user is then presented with an offer, which can either be accepted or denied (there is no haggling room, but they do offer buyback of broken gadets).
Depending on the site, the rest is handled by mail -- they'll either send the user a postage-paid envelope, or they’ll include shipping fees in the money the user gets back. The cash back can either be transferred through through gift cards, checks, or PayPal.
