Google is solidying its search engine supremacy with the unveiling Google Instant, an upgrade to how fast search results are displayed.
The new "Instant Search" introduced Wednesday means people will start to see a changing set of results below the search box with each character they type.
Google says Google Instant saves two to five seconds per search and will cumulatively save people more than 3.5 billion seconds a day, which works out to 11 hours a second.
Google is hoping this latest innovation will keep Microsoft's Bing search engine from encroaching any further on Google's dominance.
