There are many shortcuts for Microsoft Word, and you probably know a number of them. Here are some you may not know that can be useful. These shortcuts are for the Windows edition of MS Word 2010 but may also work for earlier editions.
1 If you have multiple files / Word documents open, a quick and easy way to shuffle through them is to hit the Ctrl + F6 keys. Want to change the font or its color of effects quickly? Press the Ctrl + d keys to open the font dialogue box.
2 You probably know Ctrl + c copies defined text, Ctrl + v pastes text, Ctrl + x cuts text and Ctrl + z undoes your last action. You may not know that Ctrl + y repeats your last action or that Ctrl + Alt + v opens the paste special box.
3 To create a copyright symbol, registered trademark or trademark symbols, type (c) or (r) or (t), and autocorrect will change these to the appropriate symbols. Alternately, press Ctrl + Alt + c, Ctrl + Alt + r and Ctrl + Alt + t. Here's one more handy shortcut: Press Ctrl + Alt + . for an ellipsis.
