Lengthy Xbox Live update blocks piracy

If you booted up your Xbox yesterday ready to game online, you may have been sadly interrupted with a lengthy update download. Was this a massive shift in dashboard functionality or improved gaming? Apparently the update was aimed at blocking the pirating of popular titles. Games included in Microsoft's defensive power play were Call of Duty: Black Ops, Halo: Reach and Modern Warfare 2.
It took about 15 to 20 minutes for me to download and install the update. Players using mod chips or hacked consoles beware.
