Nintendo Wii U: Worth your money?

Nintendo revealed its newest home gaming system, the Wii U, at its E3 news conference Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The Wii U may mark a shift in Nintendo's strategy, to bring back into the fold many of the hardcore gamers they've lost in the past few years, by previewing mature titles like Ninja Gaiden 3, Ghost Recon: Online, and Aliens: Colonial Marines.
Even more surprising was the seemingly strong backing of third-party developers, including publishing giant EA games.
The Wii U uses high-definition graphics along with a small screen built into the controller, which gamers can use to remove the clutter of HUD screens and other on-screen prompts from their viewing field.
And if Nintendo's track record is any guide, look for the small controller screen to be used in some unique ways.
The Wii U seems to be a far more impressive system than the original Wii, but Nintendo has been known to disappoint before, especially as evidenced by the current lack of third-party support for the Wii.
