Supreme Commander 2: It's galactic war, baby
RATING E for Everyone
DETAILS Xbox 360, $60; PC, $40
BOTTOM LINE Feels like a game for newcomers
The game performs best when approached like a primer for those wanting to dip their feet into the real-time strategy (RTS) genre. The scale of the battles is encompassing, and the ability to play as three factions provides a variety of robots and other tech to unleash in battle. The factions - United Earth Federation, Cybran and Illuminate - push the story along and offer a sense of place in the battle against the Seraphim.
