USB flash drives are about to get much smaller with the Verbatim Store 'n' Stay, a portable storage solution that's about the size of a dime and comes with capacities up to 16GB.
The 5-mm low-profile flash drive was designed to be plugged into a computer and left there, allowing the laptop or tablet to be moved without the worry of snagging the drive on something.
Store 'n' Stay uses a USB 2.0 interface and is compatible with Mac and Windows computers. The drives are available in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities.
But expect to pay a premium for this mini storage. The 4GB version costs $19.99, about $10 more than what you would expect to pay for a flash drive of the same capacity; the 8GB and16GB versions go for $29.99 and $59.99, respectively.
On the plus side, Verbatim says the drives are protected by a limited lifetime warranty – if the drive fails, Verbatim will replace it for free.
