Microsoft is raising subscription prices for their Xbox Live Gold online gaming service used to play multiplayer games.
Starting in November the annual Gold membership will cost $60, $10 more than what it is today. A three-month subscription will cost $25, up from $20. A one-month subscription will be $10, up from $8.
Larry Hryb, director of programming at Xbox Live, said the increase in prices reflect the richer content and services to Xbox Live has today versus its launch in 2002.
This comes at the heels of the launch of Microsoft's wireless controller, the Kinect, due out this Fall, which will debut with a bevy of new games.
